Lebron James Finally Gets His COVID Vaccine

Vaccination has become a big issue in the US as there is a lot of debate around the mandate. Many feel mandates are necessary as people are not taking the vaccine by themselves. On the other hand, others feel mandate is taking the freedom of people to make decisions regarding their health.  Basketball legend and LA Lakers player Lebron James was skeptical about taking the vaccine. However, after researching about it, he decided to take the vaccine. He said “I know I was very skeptical about it all, but after doing my research and things of that nature, I felt it was best for not only me but for my family, for my friends. That’s why I decided to do it.”

Lebron James Thinks People Should Have The Right To Make Decisions Regarding Vaccination

James thinks it is not the right approach to force people to take the vaccine. As per him, people who are comfortable regarding vaccination should take the vaccine. It should be left to the individual and shouldn’t be forced by the government. Moreover, James said, “When it comes down for me, I can speak about myself. I think everyone has their own choice to do what they feel is right for themselves and their family.”

No Vaccine Mandate For NBA Players Yet

The NBA has not come up with a vaccine mandate for its players. When talks started for such a mandate, the player’s association protested against it and it was never implemented. Lebron thinks his decisions are only driven by the thought of his family and not his fans or the public in general. He said, “Anything that I talk about, I don’t talk about other people and what they should do. I speak for me and for my family, that’s what it’s about.”
