Arnold Schwarzenegger Compares Riot Under Donald Trump Equivalent To Nazi Germany

Arnold Schwarzenegger has blamed Donald Trump for the attack that took place in the Capitol Building. He even went on to extend support to Democrat Joe Biden. Moreover, he compared the attack on the Capitol Building to that of Nazi Germany. He said, “I grew up in Austria, I’m very aware of Kristallnacht or the ‘Night of Broken Glass.’ It was a night of rampage against the Jews carried out in 1938 by the Nazi equivalent of the proud boys. Wednesday was the day of broken glass right here in the United States.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Compares Riots To World War Two

Arnold went on to compare the riots to World War Two. The riots in the Capitol Building made him go back to the times of the war. Moreover, he said, “I grew up in the ruins of a country that suffered the loss of its democracy. I was born in 1947, two years after the Second World War. Growing up I was surrounded by broken men drinking away their guilt over their participation in the most evil regime in history.”

Arnold feels the time has come where Democrats and Republicans to forget their differences and come together against Trump. Moreover, he said, “We need to look past ourselves, our partisan disagreements, and put our democracy first. And we need to heal, together with from the trauma of what’s just happened. We need to heal, not just as Republicans and Democrats, but as Americans.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Feels Donald Trump Will Be Complicit With Rioters

Arnold is of the opinion that Trump will be complicit with the rioters as he himself instigated the violence. Moreover, he said, “They’re complicit with those who carried the flag of self-righteous insurrection into the Capitol. We need public servants that serve something larger than their own power or their own party.”
