Black Widow To Have A Theatrical Release And Not A Disney+ Release!

There have been rumors going on that suggested that Black Widow will be directly releasing on Disney+. But, Marvel has denied those rumors and has said that Black Widow will be released only in theatres first and then will be released on Disney+.

The rumors of Black Widow being released on Disney+ began after it was announced that Wonder Woman: 1984 was announced to release on HBO Max as well as in theatres simultaneously. Disney even released the live-action Mulan directly on Disney+.

Black Widow has been in the lineup for years. So, it would be inappropriate to release such a film directly on Disney+.

Black Widow is among the most-awaited films right now. It was scheduled to release in May 2020. However, the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. Many countries went under lockdown. Even theatres were closed. So, most of the movies got postponed from their release dates. Black Widow too got postponed and it is now scheduled to release in May 2021. All we can hope for is that the film does not face any further postponement.

Let’s have a look at the cast, plot as well as release date of Black Widow

Black Widow Cast:

We will be seeing Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow. This would be probably the last time we would be seeing her as Black Widow as she already died in Avengers: Endgame. However, she might also return in future MCU films as we all know Multiverse is coming!!!!

The movie also stars Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Ray Winstone, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Rachel Weisz, and many others. For one last time, we will be getting to see Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in a cameo in the movie! The news about Robert Downey Jr.’s cameo in Black Widow has been going on for months but haven’t been confirmed by any official sources.

Black Widow Trailer:

You can watch the final trailer of Black Wide below.

As you can see the trailer was released in March 2020. Those were the days, everyone was happy after seeing the trailer. No one knew that the world was gonna go under lockdown for months.

Talking about the trailer, we would be finally getting to know about Natasha Romanoff’s past life and her family. One thing that I found interesting was the Taskmaster. Taskmaster looks very cool and it would be just awesome to see how they are going to defeat this villain. For all those who don’t know, Taskmaster has the ability to mimic any fighting style.

Black Widow Plot:

The movie is said to be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War. This would be the first of the movie that will explore Natasha Romanoff’s past before she became an Avenger.

Remember Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton’s conversations about Budapest? We might get to see what happened in Budapest in this movie!

Black Widow Release Date:

Black Widow was all set to release in May 2020. Marvel Studios even launched the final trailer of the film in March 2020. However, the world got unexpectedly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and theatres were shut down. Now, Black Widow is scheduled to release on 7th May 2021 in theatres! Some sources have confirmed that Marvel Studios won’t be postponing Black Widow from its May 2021 release date.

Let’s hope that the movie is not postponed further and that it is worth the wait!
