London Breed Says Cable Cars To Return To San Francisco From August

San Francisco Mayor London Breed revealed that cable cars will return in the city starting from August. She is thrilled that the iconic cable cars are coming back as it will again help in boosting the economy of San Francisco. As per Breed’s original plan, it was supposed to return back on the road before August. However, Muni officials conveyed to Breed that it would only be back by this fall. Furthermore, she said, “I didn’t want to hear it. But he (Muni head Jeffrey Tumlin) did come up with a creative solution. Even though we were anticipating bringing back the cable cars this fall, we are going do something absolutely extraordinary.”

Cable Cars To Be Available In San Francisco For Free Of Cost: London Breed

Breed also gave another good news to the people of San Francisco. She revealed that the cable cars will be available to all San Franciscans free of cost for the entire month of August. Moreover, she said, “What’s going to happen at the beginning of August is the cable cars will be available to all riders for the entire month of August for free of charge. So we are bringing them back a little earlier, not as early as I wished, but early enough so that you catch them at the end of the summer, right before you send your kid back to school when they open this fall, and they had better open this fall.”

Breed Thrilled To Have Cable Cars Back

London Breed is very happy that San Franciscans will get to enjoy the cable cars for free for the month of August. All of these efforts are being don’t to get the economy back on track. Breed said, “Nothing says San Francisco like a cable car ride — up and down, rolling up and down the hills.”
