Alec Baldwin Accidentally Shoots Cinematographer With Prop Gun
Alec Baldwin probably had the worst day of his life as he misfired his prop gun and shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin was in the set of his film Rust in New Mexico along with the crew members. Halyna died after getting shot by Baldwin. Director Joel Souza was standing behind Halyna and the bullet went past her and hit the director’s shoulder.
Assistant Director Unknowingly Handed Alec Baldwin A Loaded Gun
As per the police report, the assistant director unknowingly gave Baldwin a loaded gun. Baldwin was as unaware as the assistant director and accidentally misfired the gun. After the incident took, Rust Movie Productions LLC put out a statement grieving the loss of Halyna. Moreover, it said, “The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today’s tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna’s family and loved ones.”
Rust Movie Productions LLC To Provide Counselling Services To The Cast And Crew
The movie production has decided to halt production for obvious reasons. There is no idea on if or when the production will resume. The production company has decided to provide counseling services to its cast and crew members. It will help them in processing the loss and the incident. The statement further said, “We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department’s investigation. We will be providing counseling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.”
