Dave Chappelle Lands Himself In Trouble For Transphobic Jokes In Latest Netflix Special
Dave Chappelle released his latest special The Closer on Netflix and it has not gone down well with the LGBTQ community. While his die-hard fans loved the special, he made some jokes at the expense of transgenders. This is not the first time Chappelle has landed himself in trouble with the LGBTQ community for his jokes. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) took to Twitter to criticize his special. It said, “Dave Chappelle’s brand has become synonymous with ridiculing trans people and other marginalized communities. Negative reviews and viewers loudly condemning his latest special is a message to the industry that audiences don’t support platforming anti-LGBTQ diatribes.”

Netflix Employees Protest Against Dave Chappelle’s ‘The Closer’
The LGBTQ community was showing its anger on all social media platforms but the outrage reached the next level when Netflix employees joined the protest. A large group of Netflix employees has collectively asked the company to remove the special from the platform. Netflix CEO has extended his support to Chappelle but also acknowledged that his employees are “definitely feeling pain and hurt from a decision we made.”
