Jada Pinkett Smith ‘Was On The Brink of Death’

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are the mainstays of Hollywood. One of the only pairs of celebrities still together, many of the stars are referred to as relationship goals. It’s taken years for Will and Jada to get where they are now. And back when they first met, they were in separate locations. Jada also revealed that she was near death when she and her future husband crossed paths.

As Jada and Will met in the ’90s, the latter stared at The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Jada auditioned for a part of the TV show that was where she met Will. She didn’t get that part, but she made an impact on Will.

Later, the Independence Day actor saw Jada in a new world. He went to a tape expecting to meet Jada, but things didn’t go as expected.

Will hit it off with Sheree Zampino, the actor who was going to introduce him to Jada, and both of them went on to get married and have a son together. It wasn’t until after Will and Zampino had broken up that the Hitch Star had started dating Jada.

Jada Pinkett Smith says her husband helped her find something better

Jada opened up how Will changed her life during a 2011 interview with Redbook Magazine. She explained that she had endured some rough times in her life and that she was going down a dark road when Will came along. She was hoping for something more of his support.

“I’ve been through a lot of suffering, and that’s not how I want to live my life. I went through a time when there were a lot of drugs and alcohol, and I was always on the verge of death,” she said. “And then Will scooped me up, swept me off, and said, ‘There’s a diamond underneath.
The now-49-year-old went on to say, “I always knew there was something more for me out there, but the question was, did I want to take the road to get there? I had a justification when Will came along.
