Matthew McConaughey Remembers The Call Of His Mother About His Father’s Death

Matthew McConaughey is coming out with a new book that has him talking about many personal things. Moreover, the memoir is called Greenlights and will be coming out on October 20. He is trying to be as honest as possible with his book and includes his relationship with his parents. In an interview with PEOPLE, he recalled the day his mom called him to tell him about his dad’s death. Moreover, he said, “I got a call from my Mom. ‘Your dad died.’ My knees buckled. I couldn’t believe it. He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except for mom.”

Dad Died Making Love To Mom, Reveals Matthew McConaughey 

It is not every day that you hear that people die while making love. Mathew revealed that his father had a heart attack while he was climaxing during lovemaking with his mom. Moreover, he said, “He’d always told me and my brothers, ‘Boys, when I go, I’m gonna be makin’ love to your mother.’ And that’s what happened. He had a heart attack when he climaxed.”

Matthew revealed that his father and mother had a rocky and wavy relationship full of ups and downs. Moreover, his parents have divorced each other two times. However, it is interesting to note that the two had married each other three times before his dad died. Hence, they were together when Matthew’s father died. He said, “They were, at times, violent. As I say in the book, that is how they communicated. They were divorced twice, married three times, I mean, yeah, it was like the Pacific Ocean in a storm.”
