Hearing someone’s voice can mean the difference between feeling the shivers and establishing a new crush. I prefer optimism, so I wish you well in your pursuit of the latter. However, you’ll need to understand how the new Hinge voice notes and speech prompts operate first.
If you’re not sure where to start, here’s a quick rundown of how to get things started so you can show off your dulcet tones and land a hot date.
Before you begin, make sure you have the most recent Hinge update installed; otherwise, you won’t be able to use this new function.
How do you use voice prompts?
Select Edit Profile from the Settings menu. A new ‘Voice Prompt’ component has been added. To begin, click ‘Select a prompt.’
Tap the microphone icon to begin recording for up to 30 seconds once you’ve chosen a voice prompt.
When you’re finished, press the stop button. You can listen to it before it goes online, so don’t worry. Simply press the play button to begin.
If you’re satisfied, click “done,” and your voice prompt will be saved to your profile. It’ll happen. It’ll appear beneath your profile’s initial photo.
How do you use voice notes?
Are you enamoured with the sound of your own voice? In your interactions with matches, you may now send voice notes.
- Users can start recording a message with a match by tapping the Voice Note icon next to the ‘Send a message’ box.
- To come to a halt, use the ‘Stop’ button. After you’ve pressed the stop button, you can listen to your voice note before sending it.
- If you’re not satisfied with your voice note, you can delete it and redo it before sending it.
- You can use the ‘up arrow’ symbol to transmit your voice note.
Remember that you can only send voice notes to persons with whom you’ve matched. They can, however, last up to five minutes, giving you plenty of time to tell a great anecdote. Don’t be a creep, we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: don’t be a creep.
