State Senator Annette Taddeo Announces Run For Florida Governor
State Senator Annette Taddeo has announced her run for Florida Governor for the elections in 2022. She will aim to dethrone GOP Governor Ron DeSantis. Annette is competing from the Democratic party and is currently aiming to earn the nomination from the party. If she gets the nomination, she will become the first Latina to run for governor representing a major party. While announcing her candidature, she criticized DeSantis for banning mask mandates in schools. Moreover, she said, “Frankly, as a mom with a kid in public school, that was just a nonstarter. I was really flabbergasted.”

Cannot Sit On The Sidelines Anymore, Says Annette Taddeo
After seeing the work of DeSantis, Taddeo felt almost forced to run for Governor in Florida. She feels DeSantis is unable to represent the people of Florida and is discriminatory towards some sections of people in his state. Moreover, the state senator said, “I’m not going to stand on the sidelines and not fight for us to have a governor that can represent us all and a governor that will actually be worried about Floridians and not primary voters in Iowa.” Taddeo will go all out to win the nomination which is currently led by U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist, a former governor, and Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried.
