Tiger Wood Injures His Legs In A Near-Fatal Accident

The world almost lost a legend when Tiger Woods met with an accident. Tiger had a very dangerous accident that almost took his life. His car got damaged to the point where it is unrecognizable. Moreover, he injured his legs and was immediately rushed to the hospital. His team even put a statement thanking his fans for all the good wishes. Moreover, they also updated that Tiger had to undergo surgery on his right leg and ankle. The statement said, “We thank everyone for the overwhelming support and messages during this tough time. As previously communicated, Tiger was involved in a single-car accident earlier this morning in California. He has undergone a long surgical procedure on his lower right leg and ankle after being brought to the hospital.” Tiger has been receiving a lot of recovery wishes from his fans. However, he is still in hospital and has not been able to respond to it personally. 

Doctor Gives An Update On Tiger Woods And His Health

The statement from Tiger’s team also had a statement from his doctor. The doctor’s statement was complicated and filled with medical terms but was easy to understand that it was no minor accident. Tiger has endured a severe injury on his legs but it looks like there is no threat to his life as of now. Moreover, the doctor said in the statement, “‘Mr. Woods suffered significant orthopedic injuries to his right lower extremity that were treated during emergency surgery by Orthopaedic trauma specialists at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center. Comminuted open fractures affecting both the upper and lower portions of the tibia and fibula bones were stabilized by inserting a rod into the tibia. Additional injuries to the bones of the foot and ankle were stabilized with a combination of screws and pins. Trauma to the muscle and soft-tissue of the leg required surgical release of the covering of the muscles to relieve pressure due to swelling.’ – Anish Mahajan, MD, Chief Medical Officer & Interim CEO at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.”

Tiger Woods Thanks The Doctors For Saving Him

The team of Tiger gave a special thanks to the doctors at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for their care. Moreover, the statement further revealed that Tiger is in a better state and is gradually recovering at this point. It seems like he would require some more time to recover completely. Furthermore, the team has asked the fans to give some privacy to Tiger and his family while he recovers from the accident. The statement further said, “He is currently awake, responsive, and recovering in his hospital room. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and hospital staff at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and the Fire Department. Your support and assistance has been outstanding. There are no further updates at this time and we continue to thank you for your well-wishes and privacy for him and his family.”

Tiger Does Not Want To End His Career Like This

Tiger’s injury on his legs can even mean the legend hanging up his boots. However, all of it depends on how well he can recover from it. A source revealed that Tiger is disappointed but doesn’t want to end his career like this. He will continue even if there is a slight possibility for it. Moreover, he was hoping to make a comeback to the top this year. Tiger has not been doing well in golf for a long time. Furthermore, the insider said, “He doesn’t want his career to end like this. So if there’s any way at that, he can continue playing golf, he will. He expected 2021 to be the year of his comeback. That’s not going to happen now due to the injury. And that’s disappointing to him. This is a massive setback and he knows that it’s a massive setback. But he’s overcome obstacles in the past and thinks he can do it again.” Tiger has had a downward spiral in his career and he has not made it to the top ever since. However, that has not stopped him from trying to make it back to the top.
