The Vallejo police station is investigating a car and pedestrian car accident on Tuesday, killing a 26-year-old man.
At 5:15 am on Tuesday, police responded to reports of pedestrians colliding with vehicles in the areas of Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Road.
Upon arrival, police officers found the victim of an adult man lying on the road. The victim was a 26-year-old unprotected man from Redwood City who was sentenced to death on the scene by Vallejo Fire Department personnel.
The driver of the vehicle that attacked the pedestrian was heading south on Sonoma Boulevard when the victim was attacked. The vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol do not seem to be the cause of this conflict.
The investigation is led by the Traffic Department of the Vallejo Police Station. Victim identities are reserved until notification of relatives by the Solano County Coroner Office.
This is Vallejo’s eighth fatal road accident in 2021.
